I also came from a very long line of schizophrenics, guess what I’m not? Schizophrenic.
My younger sister comes from a long line of brunettes, guess what she is? Blonde.
I come from a long line of people that wanted kids because that long line of people came from different times and eras. During those different times and eras if there was a social stigma around not having a family, as that was what society expected.
In those different times and eras women didn’t have much other choices or paths to follow in life besides being mothers and wives, the same can’t be said for women now, who have many different choices.
This is why many developed countries like Germany and Australia have declining and ageing populations. People are putting their careers first, children are an economic burden, there is more access to contraceptives, etc, etc, etc.
Some people will change and want kids, these days, however, less people are.
And there’s nothing wrong with not wanting kids. The gene pool isn’t exactly going to dry up if a handful of people don’t pass theirs on.
Bro I ain’t gonna be able to afford to have kids and I don’t want to bring them into a world that’s crumbling at the seams. If the human race can get its shit together before my biological clock runs out, MAYBE we’ll talk.

And the reason the decline of children is detrimental actually since there will be more people retired and taking out of the system then there will be people puting in.

A thirty year old told you they still didn’t want kids, what age does someone have to be untol you realise not everyone is going to end up wanting kids? Do I need to be on my deathbed and say “I still don’t want kids” till you get it?
It does not matter if everyone else before me had kids, wanting kids is not “in your genes”. It is not in my dna to want them.
I did say an ageing population. All you did was further explain that in detail. That doesn’t take away that Germany and Australia have declining birthrates and a declining population. They are in stage five of the population model, a stage thats brand new and was made because of how those countries are currently doing.
It does not just come down to birth control. It comes down to the fact that people, especially women, have more women. It also comes down to the fact that children are an ecnomic burden in developed countries. It also comes down to people waiting later in life to have children, when they’re less fertile. Birth control is one of the many reasons.
You sound like Alex Jones. It doesn’t put women in a perpetual state of fake pregnancy. They stop you getting pregnant by preventing your ovulation. They dont suppress some mystical want to procreate.
Right so lets say the first people ever had blonde hair, and they are my very distant ancestors, that means I have their genes. That means being blonde is in my genes and has been in the genes of everyone before me. Yet I’m a brunette. Its almost like a trend in your ancestors doesn’t inherently mean you will follow it.
Okay, to be fair, wanting to propagate your genes is absolutely in said genes. It’s part of your biological clock. Every organism theoretically and most in practice have an innate need to pass on their genes.
But just because it’s there doesn’t mean you have to do it. Humans are also wired to be anxious, flighty, vicious, aggressive, cowardly, selfish. To respond to our base instincts. We have the amazing fight or flight mechanism that tells us to attack or run when we think we’re in danger, and that can come in many forms (hence panic and procrastination, for example).
And yet we’ve also overcome our basic impulses to live a more comfortable, domesticated, functional life. Sure. I’ll give them that - our bodies want to propagate our genes. They also want to fight cars for giving you a fright, eat all the food in your house in case food suddenly becomes scarce, and run and hide from your responsibilities. That doesn’t mean we have to do those things. Many people choose not to have children. People do die without ever having passed on their genes or ever consciously having wanted to. It’s patronising and reductive to tell them that ‘ok but your genes say so’.

The reason I made this entire Post in the first place was because I find it annoying that people will literally deny science rather than admitting they might be wrong right now, in this point in their life. but yet I see at least five posts a day about how people will “never want to have kids” or that “having kids is a bad decision” and no one ever questions it but yet I suggest that you will want to have kids

not that you have to
not that it is important to do so
just that you will have the primal urge to want them and people were mad

‘Having kids is a bad idea’ and ‘I never want to have kids’ are not anti-scientific statements. Having feelings is not anti-science. But if you want my honest opinion on your post? Telling people ‘hurr durr but your GeNeS’ because you can’t handle people talking about their feelings/not wanting kids is a dick move. when I was a teenager I said I didn’t want to have kids that I would rather have an abortion before I would have kids (I was also incredibly feminist) and everyone told me that I would want to have kids then I got older and now I really really want to have kids and every single person I meet tells me not to have them, even people who previously told me that I would want them like my grandma and my mom now tell me not to have them.
Whatever you want in life people will tell you to do the opposite that’s the truth of it
And I’ll concede like I have several times no one likes kids but everyone will want them.
And I’m not your grandma or your mom I’m not telling you you’ll want them when you find the “right man” or you’ll want them when you hit a certain age I’m saying you’re going to want them when your chemicals change when the Twilight years are in view and you start regretting a lot of things in life that kids will be one of them

adopt a teenager nobody wants them and they need a place to go

- The awesome trio does water bottle flipping all the time. They actually got one on Germany’s head before.

- Prussia tried to dye his hair black before, he woke up to it being platinum blonde again.
- The Nordics play Cards Against Humanity every week and whoever loses would have to clean the house for the week. Denmark surprisingly lost most times.
- England gets annoyed when America remakes any of his shows and they end up better. He stops talking to America for about 2 weeks.
- All the nations laughed at America when they found his Musical.ly account that had fuckboy videos.
- Russia lowkey judges Yuri on Ice, but he enjoys most of the time.
- The magic trio have a group chat that is full of memes, Romania is the one that is sending the memes.
- Iceland is actually popular on social media.
hmmmmm…. perhaps apathy is boring……. & perhaps passion is cool………. being excited about things is endearing……..having interests makes one more interesting…….perhaps mocking and finding flaw in everything makes one’s world less saturated and enjoyable……..hmmm……..just been thinkin about it….
